Happy 2013

 2013 is going to be a great year;  I can just feel it.  Not that 2012 was a bad year.  2012 was Josh and I's first year of marriage, we did a lot of traveling and got to spend a lot of quality time together.  However, I am looking forward to 2013 because now we are finally in the year that Josh will be coming home!  I know "13" is an unlucky number for reasons I'm not quite too sure, but for me I happen to appreciate the number 13.

Here are just a few reasons, 13 in fact, I appreciate the number 13:

1. It contains the number "3" which is my ultimate favorite number
2. I skydived on Friday the 13th (clearly I don't believe in superstitions)
3. 13 stripes on the American flag, to represent 13 original colonies
4. Josh's number in Chain Gang (the club we met) was 13 and that turned out pretty good for me!
5. Its a prime number
6. Its a baker's dozen which means you get 1 extra, what's not to like about that!
7. 13 represents eternal love, illustrated by Jesus and his 12 apostles
8. I have 13 cousins (on my dad's side)
9. You are "officially" a teenager at age 13
10. Steve Nash was #13 on the Phoenix Suns 
11. Its a Fibonacci number (numbers commonly found in nature, like the numbers of petals on a daisy or spirals on a pineapple)
12. There are 13 major joints in your body, 13 lunar cycles in a solar year, and the moon travels 13 degrees across the sky every day.
13. 2013 is the year Josh comes home (my favorite reason)
